Quality and sustainability

Quality and sustainability must go hand in hand if we want to bring health to our pets through a natural food, but committed to the environment.

We are members of the PSC (Pet Sustainability Coalition) in order to establish a plan of support and continuous improvement for sustainability in all its aspects, from training and awareness to all our team, to the development of the most exquisite recipes.

We are the first and only Spanish company adhered with the responsibility to be an example and to push the European Pet food sector to become aware and awaken towards such an important mission.

Ingredients from ECO-responsible sources

One of our priorities is the responsible and certified selection of our ingredients, ensuring the preservation of the various ecosystems. In three areas:

Controlled fishing

We have several international organizations (Friend of the Sea, ISSF) that certify that our marine ingredients come only from controlled and sustainable fishing.

Organic farming

Some of our ingredients, besides being 100% natural, come from Organic and Ecological certified crops.

We use local sources of raw materials to guarantee their freshness and avoid the pollution caused by long transportation to the manufacturing sites.

CO²footprint control

The carbon footprint is something we are concerned about. In the manufacture and transportation of our products, we try to reduce the generation of greenhouse gases as much as possible, in order to contribute to a cleaner atmosphere. We address two areas:

Clean energy

We use liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is the most sustainable energy source available, as the energy source for cooking our recipes.

Slow cooking process

Our food is cooked slowly, steamed and at low temperatures, which minimizes the carbon footprint generated.

ECO-sustainable packaging

We are aware that every day we put into circulation thousands of containers with our recipes. Our responsibility and commitment must cover everything from the way they are generated to their recycling once they are used:

Certified packaging against deforestation

The materials used are internationally certified as coming from managed forests.

Recyclable packaging certified by Ecoembes

Dingonatura is a member company of Ecoembes. Our work in this area is based on economically compensating the cost of recycling our packaging and thus contributing to make them all sustainable once they are used.
